Karen Edelstein and Joe Wetmore are residents of Lansing, NY. Edelstein, a science educator, works with the FracTracker Alliance, and Wetmore owns Autumn Leaves Bookstore in Ithaca. Both are active members of Fossil Free Tompkins. a local environmental group in Ithaca, NY, working politically across Tompkins county to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Their work includes political action against new fossil fuel infrastructure such as proposed conversion of the Cayuga Power Plant in Lansing to burn natural gas, the Crestwood Storage Facility in Seneca Lake and new pipelines. The group advocates instead for increase of renewable energy construction including the Black Oak Wind Farm in Enfield and solar installations. <br />
